The World Health Day is a global health awareness day celebrated every year on 7 April, under the sponsorship of the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as other related organizations.
#WorldHealthDay’s themes are in the act since 1995. World Health Day 2017, celebrated on 7 April, aims to mobilize action on depression.
The theme of this year’s World Health Day is Universal health coverage: everyone, everywhere and the slogan is “Health for All”.
This is the 70th anniversary year. WHO is calling on world leaders to live up to the pledges they made when they agreed on the Sustainable Development Goals in 2015.
This means ensuring that everyone, everywhere can access essential quality health services without facing financial hardship.
Access to essential quality care and financial protection not only enhances people’s health and life expectancy, it also protects countries from epidemics, reduces poverty and the risk of hunger, creates jobs, drives economic growth and enhances gender equality.
So, let’s make our world better by getting help to needy people and try to spread a word of equality in health services.
