Bael (Bilva) Patra
Bael tree is known as ‘Bilva’ in Sanskrit. It is an ancient Ayurvedic tree with spiritual and medicinal importance. It is extensively described in Indian literature, since Vedic period.

The Beal tree is also sacred to the Jains. It is said the 23rd Tirthankara, Bhagwan Parasnathji attained “Nirvana” enlightenment under a Bael tree.
