Keep in mind when figuring out what to plant in a garden with vegetables that you don’t need a large space to begin. If you choose to grow in containers, you don’t even need a yard. A deck or balcony may provide plenty of space.
While selecting the containers, there are a few options available. One can select different pots for different vegetables or large sized rectangular containers (above 30 inch) to grow them together.
8 to 10 small pots of the size of 6 to 12 inches or 2 to 3 large containers would be more than enough.
For small spaces, we have a very good option of tower planters or pot stands with hanging baskets. These allow us to grow vegetables one above the other.
As a general rule, select as large a container as possible. Small containers dry out more quickly and need daily watering.

Sunlight :
If you don’t have a spot in full sun to plant a garden with vegetables, you can still grow many leafy vegetables such as lettuce and spinach. And if you’re in a hot-summer climate, cool-season varieties such as peas may do better in part shade.

Using pebbles in a garden brings different colours and textures to the garden. Pebbles can also fill up otherwise empty space in the garden, leaving a visual that might be considered more interesting and aesthetic than simple dirt, soil or mulch.
